I am always happy to talk to students about my career in writing novels, comics, and video game scripts. Young readers love to hear about how they can write about the things they love most. I’m living proof of this, since if I’m reading comics or playing video games, it counts as work!
I’m also a big believer in talking to students about writing as craft and showing them how they can turn their own ideas into stories. I can not only talk to kids about the works I’ve created, but shows them how I put my stories together. I can’t promise I’ll make writing easy – I’m still working on that one myself – but I can promise that students will walk away with new skills and a new sense of creative confidence.
