Friends, I am happy to announce that this is the month, and this the happy morn. Today I debut as a writer of comics. For those of you unfamiliar with how comics work, these books are published on a weekly basis. They will remain in most stores for about two weeks, and then become more difficult to find. As this is my comics debut, and I will be continuing to work in the medium, there is at least the chance that issue will increase in value, making it a good investment in these uncertain times. I will buy it. By the way David, do you have some favorite comic books or graphic novels? My favorite by far is Transmetropolitan. I also enjoyed Preacher, The Tick, and Nextwave.
I have the first bound trade paperback volume of Transmetropolitan in my to-read pile. Some of my favorites are Ex Machina, Walking Dead, and Invincible. I hear great things about Scalped, but I haven’t checked it out yet.

I ordered this on the description alone. Now that I’ve been introduced to your other works (of which I was unaware) I will now be picking those up. See, comics inspire literacy!
Also: I wanted to mention that if you like the “noir” aspects of the Phantom Reporter, I highly recommend the late, great Sandman Mystery Theatre series from DC/Vertigo. A good selection of it is in trade collections and they only get better and better as they progress. Awesome Guy Davis art in most of the run, too.
