Comics news time! It’s been a couple of months in the works, but it’s been under media blackout until this week when on the G4 network’s Attack of the Show, Marvel announced my next project with them. That means they mentioned my name on TV, and that means I am now somebody. Take a look.
After issue #512 Daredevil will be leaving his eponymous book and his role, as guardian of Hell’s Kitchen (still the worst neighborhood in New York in the Marvel universe). Taking over will be T’Challa, former Black Panther and King of Wakanda.

The book, will be re-titled Black Panther: The Man Without Fear written by me, as I may have mentioned, and drawn, inked and colored by the multi-talented and awesome Francesco Francavilla. The first issue, #513, will be on sale in December. For more details, check out this awesome article posted on Comic Book Resources, which I think should be at least a little enlightening if you have no idea what I am talking about or who any of these characters are. For extra fun, spend some time reading the comments section, so you can learn how the sort of comics fans who post on these pages pretty much hate everything. Anyhow, I’ll keep you up to date on the pages of this action-packed blog.

This is interesting. I just read The Ethical Assassin, and in it a character named B.B. walks up on two boys talking about Daredevil. I had been reading the Dexter series by Jeff Lindsay and, after taking no time at all in devouring them, decided to slow down my pace by picking up another book at a library. The title of The Ethical Assassin neatly struck my field of vision prompting me to give it a look. I am only disappointed still at what happens with B.B. at the end — despite his unique perspective on mentoring. Otherwise I feel I got incredibly lucky finding this book, and wonder if I could venture my imagination back a couple hundred plus years with Mr. Liss in his earlier publications.
Can’t wait to read your work. Also ignored the CBR posters. Some of them don’t have a clue to what they are talking about and you are correct they are negitive about everything. The art is great, also I saw the preview in this weeks Moonknight.

Ah – now I get it – you ‘write’ comic books. Recently I checked out a book at my library based on your review: “…Holy Thief is one the best historical mysteries I’ve read in the last ten years.” Which means you and the author are, what – 30? Have no historical background?
Yikes – this novel is set in Russia in 1935 – and the author goes on and on about CID (a concept not created for another 30 years), about ‘forensics’ – sorry, invented by Dr. Bill Bass in the 1980’s!
Historical, my ass – pg 1/2 – the killer has no clue about the identity of the girl he is killing – Russian born, American NUN – in American clothing? Have neither of you ever heard that until 1960-something, Vatican III – all Nuns wore “habits” wherever they went, for whatever reason.
Both you and the author have been watching WAY too much CSI. Even real “CSI’s” hate those programs – not realistic!
Fingerprints in 1935? Maybe – impossible to process manually in the overlay environment of a sacristy! Shoeprints in any media – never heard of – especially in primitive Communistic Russia. Need I go on! – Tossed the book before pg. 90.
